Au contraire, mon frčre ... there is greater chance for further more serious injury.

Not according to the article you linked...

David J. Chao, a former NFL head team physician who runs the @ProFootballDoc account on Twitter, wrote "there are no long-term consequences" to the injury. The main issue is pain tolerance and effectiveness, he wrote.

Because there is no upside and a lot of downsides.

First and foremost he could be seriously injured because he is hobbled. It's reckless to risk the 2016 season at QB.

Second the games are meaningless. So even if a hobbled Brees give the team the best chance to win, what difference does it make?

Three is the simple fact that the organization needs to get some sense of the potential of Grayson. What better situation than two totally meaningless regular season games to get that?

I mean if Brees were within 10 games of Farve's starting streak, that may be one thing. But he's alredy missed a game this season.

There is no upside to having the franchise out there at less than 100%. Only bad things can happen.

Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good.
