For two years ? Heck, Sherman is probably the best in the land but they still throw in his direction ... occasionally .
Side note: Did a quick read and I see he had a ton of pass deflections/break ups and what not. I'd prefer a corner who can snag it, change direction and take it to the house. I wonder if he falls to the 2nd round? |

Short 5'10" with 31" arms. But I will give him one thing run-stopping ability is excellent. Fear of not taking the kid? he might be another Mike McKenzie. just a bit shorter. Question is how good is his football IQ. How much ceiling is still left? My fear is you will end up drafting a slot CB in the first that may or may not be able to handle bigger stronger NFL WR on the outside. I would pass at 12 |

Re: 2016 NFL Draft Prospect Thread ...............
Saints have dinner with several Clemson defenders, set up visit with safety Jayron Kearse.
A large Saints contingent, including Sean Payton, the defensive coaching staff and assistant general manager Jeff Ireland had dinner with cornerback Mackensie Alexander , defensive ends Shaq Lawson and Kevin Dodd, and several other Clemson teammates on Wednesday night, multiple sources told The Advocate. And at least one former Tiger already has a visit set up with the Saints. Jayron Kearse, a 6-foot-4, 216-pound safety, told local reporters at Clemson that he will visit the Saints, along with the Buccaneers, Lions, Jaguars and Steelers. Now the mention that the saints set up visit with safety Jayron Kearse of Clemson is interesting. He is falling like rock as a safety. I still question his mental abilities to handle the safety position much less the obvious the kid has the hips of a white boy at a sock hop. The kid can not flip to save his life. Question is really this, is he really that raw and/or still growing into this 6'4" frame? I am going with growing into that frame vs being that raw. 3 year starter How quick the media put him as a 1st and how quick the media has dropped him to a 4/5 and still falling. Media hype is fickle and can lead to many a broken hearts. But as a OLB/SS you might just have something to work with. Plenty of room left to put on 30 or so pounds. I hope they are think along these lines. He has a knack for causing fumbles while actually making tackles at the same time. A trait most of our secondary seems to have no clue how to do. It is one or the other. god knows I hate ball tackles. Jayron Kearse SS/OLB Clemson 6040 216 Hands 9 5/8 Arms 34 1/4 40 4.62 20 2.63 10 1.62 3 Cone 7.06 20 Shuttle 60 Shuttle Bench 16 Vertical 31 1/2 Broad 126 |
