Carl Nassib - he is not going to dazzle anyone with athletic ability that is for sure. But he has more desire and heart than probably any player in the draft. IMO he is the top blue collar lunch pail toting DE in the draft. With that said the only concern is the fact he is a one year wonder. Draft him and hold your breath and see what you got. He is one one of those players i would not target but if we drafted him my reaction would be on of sigh but lets see what happens. no one truely knows what you will be getting. he is a player that the pro days, combine and bowls will make or break in the draft.

Want to take about the same risk without the high draft pick his team mate, Anthony Zettel has basically the same positives and negatives yet a bit more athletic but not as well built. He is one I am watching closely during the pre draft. 2nd vs 5th. He needs to bulk up but he is all about desire and heart also. As a 43 late round DE development pick he is high on my wish list.

Jarren Reed - He is the unsung impact player of the Bama front 4. People started to see his ability late in the season. Is he good because of the unit as a whole or is he just that good. If sacks are your thing look elsewhere. If you are looking DT that is gap disciplined and plug the middle, set the edge and get those tackles for losses look no further. He can be a DT in 43 and a DE in a 34. Love this kids versitility. But the risk appears to be there with being part of a unit. I am waiting to see what his does at the bowls pro day and combine before final judgement. do not be surprised to see him go much earlier than most think. He has just as good of a chance to be the first Bama defender selected as the other right now IMO. do not over look Jarran Reed either

Myles Jack - test that knee! If you want a LB that can do just about anything as an OLB you need look no further. There is one area I am concerned about is making tackles in a crowd. Tackles in the open field is not an issue. But get in there in the phone both with the big boys, he has questions to answer. As a LB that can make the highlight reels it is probably the safest pick in the draft. If that knee checks out and the saints pick him I will conclude the saints are tried of TE eating them up game after game after game. He also has the ability to blow up swing passes and those annoying sweeps that always get 8 yards each and every time they run it. If we draft him in round 1 we will know early on in the draft we are a 43 defense also.

First thing I would do is get an OL coach, one with real nasty schemes that piss defenders off. I mean nasty. Second, trade to move up and get the best OL pick we can get into this new scheme. Next a DT than can bust through on 3rd down. He will only be used on 3rd and 4th down. All the other picks who cares.

I'd like Rashard Robinson on Day 3 or UDFA if Peterson doesn't convince the Cardinals to take him earlier.

A little off topic but do we stand a chance of getting any compensatory picks this year?

Unlikely as we signed as much as we lost...

It's about a double-secret committee that assigns values to free agents...

And then depending on your supposed net gain, loss, picks are assigned...

It doesn't matter, Ozzie Newsome and the Ravens will end up with most of 'em as they've got the wink-wink inside formula for those picks...

Personally, I'd like to see compensatory picks done away with and the draft bumped to nine full rounds...

Ozzie? Now there's a guy we should trade all of our draft picks for.

I don't think I could hate a draft more than this.

Not one of our positions of need is addressed. From what I have seen there are no WRs worth taking in the first RD and we're already loaded there.

To each his own though. OG and TE being addressed is good.

Black, No. 1 receiver, Guard(s), Tight End are not needs?

Treadwell is the real deal and would be the perfect complement to Cooks who's too small to win the physical battles...

How can guard not be an issue for our offensive line?!?

And the Tight End had some big games against really good opponents, including Clemson...

FS Jairus Byrd has been a huge disappointment (at least for those who believed this would work) can't stay on the field to make plays...

SS Kenny Vaccaro for all his great physical talent and plays negates with bone-headed plays will be headed for free agency...

Hogan is my luxury pick, but I believe he's the goods and Brees doesn't have another three years, if two...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
