I agree. It seems like every play they had him in they used him as a decoy. and three of those led to touchdowns because of the drawn coverage. He had only taken 5 snaps all season until Ingram went out. I think the injury excuse was legit. I would let him fight though camp at least. Most all of the vets like Jenkins, Strief, and Colston should be allowed to at least compete for the starting role. If nobody can beat them out then we have more problems than cutting them and signing others can help. Colston is a good player coach with his attitude and familiarity with the offense. I bet all of the above will restructure.

6-10. Anything and everything related to Brandon Browner
Couldn't agree more with this. I would recommend sending him to Buffalo that's pretty far from New Orleans.

I'd rather see him end up in Carolina or better yet, atlanta.

I'd keep Colston and Spiller on massive paycuts. I'd keep Strief on a massive paycut too and keep him in a backup role or an extra lineman on the goal line. Brandon Browner has to go. David Hawthorne never lived up to the hype. John Jenkins played well IMO. I don't see why we'd cut him. He's not expensive. Jahri Evans needs to take a huge paycut or be released as well.

Spiller has ALWAYS been a tease. Great talent. Flashes of said talent. Never healthy. Never consistently produced. Browner, Spiller, Colston, Ellerbe, Hawthorne, and Humber need to be gone. Restructure Brees. That will free up around $19 million. Draft the best player availabe. HOPEFULLY on defense. Although, the Saints need a G, TE, and WR on offense.

its how Spiller played in Buffalo too, this isn't a surprise. Don't know why the Saints thought it would end differently

Honestly, I could see all of them back at TC after restructuring their deal.

If spiller were healthy, I would like to keep him. I don't have the numbers but feel like he is always injured. I say if he has a few decent games at the start of next season, we trade him and his salary to another team. The question isn't will he get hurt, its when will he get hurt.

Really like the guy and hope he stays healthy, just trying to be realistic.

Jenkins was our 3rd best D-lineman. We'd be foolish to cut him.

Do you want this team to have money to spend or not?
