2016 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; JP, sell me on Jordan Williams. I don't know much about him and you have him winning that coveted 5th WR spot....

Really believe once the bangin' starts, all these flag football wonders will grow weary and the big warrior will begin to take over... Our offense is predicated on Brees making quick reads and sending the ball to a bucket with one-one coverage and for the receiver to run under and use not only his body, but NFL pass defense rules to be sure he's the only one coming down with the ball... Historically, we've never carried more than two sub 6' 0" receivers as well... Williams is sure handed, making catches even with contact... Speaking of contact, he's adapt at getting yards after the catch as well... But he wins jump balls, especially in the back of the end zone... Williams also has the Rice Fifth Gear; doesn't time well, but go get ball and leave defender is in his repertoire... It may seem somewhat of a reach, but adapting his game to the pro game, which it should, should be easiest for him and I think he'll be your fifth receiver... |
