His run defense grades were the worst of his career.

Lets hope he heals up and gets back to his pre-2015 form. If so, its a great signing.
I really hope that's the reason he was so bad. If not, we're screwed.

I've got mixed emotions about this signing. A lot of indicators are pointing to his decline but a change of scenery and good health might be just what the doctor ordered. I feel cautiously optimistic.
I just worry that Anthony might be less effective playing another position. You know we have a penchant for the square peg-round hole scenario.

Actually, the theory that we can just move a player and make it work hasn't paid off that well. Cam Jordan has played well wherever we put him but he's the exception more than the rule. If we are going to draft someone to play a position then do it!

I don't trust any player with a last name that I have to google to learn how to spell. But we shall see...

I wouldn't rule out the Saints FO drafting a LB in the 1st 3 rounds.

We desperately need a LB who can consistently cover TE's.

We should seriously consider drafting guys like Deone Bucannon. In todays NFL faster undersized LBs (safeties turned LBs) are not rare breed. Give those guys solid D-line and watch them dominate the game. This draft class has some intriguing players (Jack, Jones, Lee...)

Given the injury, Jack might be there at 12

I don't see how Miles gets past pick #7. Athletic, hits HARD, dynamic and elite coverage ability. In this pass happy league, he is gone early. We could be looking at the Von Miller 2.0 in a few years.

Damn, if he is there at #12 take him .

I don't think he gets out the top 10 but you never know some teams might be scared of his medical and pass on him

Re: Saints sign James Laurinaitis

I want to know how much he costs us, what defense we will be running. If this was RR last year I would like the pickup. But now that DA is running the defense, we are running a 4-3, not a 3-4. Plus, Kikaha is made for the 3-4 along with Davis Tull who we redshirted last year. If we had a track record of drafting sure fire defensive players I wouldn't be worried but outside of Cam, Stephone, Kikaha and Viccaro, we haven't really hit on defensive players recently. Coach needs to make sure we have the right pieces to make this thing work. Coach Payton you said you're in this for the long haul, time to prove it.
