NFL Rumors: Nick Fairley Leaving Los Angeles Rams For New Orleans Saints

If a deal with the New Orleans Saints cannot be secured, Nick Fairley would still have some options in the NFL, despite not playing anywhere near his massive potential. Reports have surfaced that the New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles are both interested in signing Fairley. The Jets lost Damon Harrison to the New York Giants. They’re looking for a replacement. The Eagles lost Cedric Thorton to the Dallas Cowboys, so they’re looking at add depth to the defensive line.

Nick Fairley is receiving another chance in the NFL. There are only so many of those that go around, especially since there are players coming out of college every season. Fairley is hoping that the New Orleans Saints will be his final stop in the National Football League.

He's definitely better then anybody on our defensive line not named, Cam Jordan. Better yet, he'd probably be the 2nd best player on our entire defense.

I'm not worried about him smoking weed. You can find a plethora of weed in any major city the NFL has to offer. It wouldn't be any worse here.

Yeah, not to be a Saints-basher, but that ain't sayin' much, #shrug. If he's corrected some of his deficiencies, he's a great addition along with some of the other defensive FA signings. Which leads me to wonder why he was one & done with the Rams. The guy has all the potential in the world & I remember games where he just dominated, they're just few and far in-between. I'm just saying be cautious, the guy has not lived up to the status of a first round draft pick, even in two of his best years, .



I don't mind these guys smoking weed either in that there's nothing I can do about it, and it's not even an NFL city issue, #shrug. It's when they're derelict enough to get caught in consecutive weeks doing it, #shrug. You just gotta' wonder sometimes how bright some of these guys are and be a little concerned with what they'll be bringing to your team, .

Drew extension -> signing Fairley -> trading for Wilkerson... I'd like these moves.

Are you serious? The negotiations have most likely been over for quite some time. The final structure of the deal depends upon what what the club (Loomis) needs available in current and future periods. The deal has been done for quite some time.

Brees is under contract and has publicly declared he wants to restructure an extension.
