As much as I like to bash Goodell:

Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement: "This is such a tragic loss of life. Our thoughts are with Will's wife Racquel and their three children. He will be missed by many teammates and friends."

ALL lives matter. What a tragic thing for that family.

We have a mental health issue on this planet, and until our leaders step up and openly acknowledge that nothing changes and things get worse.

All kinds of people saying all kinds of things.
Lets dont do it this time.
Lets dont turn on each other.
Lets dont try to make this into some sort of piece of the bigger picture.
Im sure a certain Other Site is melting down right now.
Lets dont do it.
Lets take this time to mourn a man, a Saint, and his family.
Let everyone else politicize.
And lets see what we can do, just as people, one on one, to preserve
the great beauty of New Orleans, and so many good people.
You can live in Acadiana, Shreveport, MS, TX, or the world, but our heart
is in New Orleans.
You are the Good People of New Orleans.

SkyMike's got a point. This one could get difficult this week as the national media descends on NOLA seeing dollar signs, and as a lot of keyboard warriors fire off thinking they know it all.

Let's be grateful the killer is behind bars and hope the justice system does the right thing based on the facts. Celebrate the life of Will Smith and wish hard that his family gets the comfort and privacy they need.
