Strief is a liability and if he starts he's gonna get Brees killed.

Yeah, those guys never beat any RT's.

Re: I admit I was wrong

strief is on his last leg, but my guess is that Peat at guard with strief at tackle gives us the best 5 guys out there we can have. In the meantime we have to find another guard and move Peat to RT and that will probably happen after this season.

Thank you for making my point. Strief's but belongs on the bench.

well i can only hope that strief may have been injured last season and returns to form, but he certainly looked to be on his last leg

Re: I admit I was wrong

I say it over and over. Drafting a a tackle that can swing left to right and back again is vastly under rated. It is not as easy as it seems.

He was not ready to be starter in the NFL when he was drafted
He has almost played his entire football life as a LT. So dance to the right was a mess
It is safe to safe he probably is still a better backup LT still than as a backup RT.
So this is a step in the right direction.
If RT is were he is going to be then RG makes all the sense in the world.

Conclusion he was a bit of a reach in a draft were reaching for OT was all the fad. (mid 20s was his range). He probably would have not gotten past Carolina at 25. If he does a solid job at RG and shows improvement with moving to the right all season long he is not a wasted pick really.

I for one say he is almost on schedule to push for the starting job at RT in year 3.

Spot on! Just making the transition from being in a left stance to a right will take some time.

You sir don't know what you are talking about. Danno is correct, Strief is a very solid RT. Especially when he have a RG beside him that doesn't stink it up.
