this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; How many years in a row has Brees been a top 5 QB in yards with Strief as RT?...

Re: I admit I was wrong
When he played RG, yes. Kelemetes play at RG was completely horrendous and during those games that's where most of the pressure came from.

Re: I admit I was wrong
RG was where the line stunk. Evans needed to go. If Peat takes over as RG and Strief holds up (again) for another year I would draft a good RT next draft to groom or take over for Strief. Last season our pass protection and run game suffered from the right side. This season I can see running right not a problem and pass protection should be better also. I think Strief had to help Evans and Kelemete way to much and neither could help him out at all.

Saints expect Andrus Peat to start, but aren’t sure where | ProFootballTalk
and where are all of the experts who have been telling us for years that Brees can't see over tall linemen? |

Re: I admit I was wrong
Taking a step up was a huge problem for Brees. The right side getting fixed will be huge in the passing and run game. I would like to see big holes for Ingram to get a head of steam going into the second level not to mention Brees having time to throw. I don't worry to much about the O being good it's always our stinking D that gets us beat.
