I don't think there was ever an issue that Ryan was a players coach.

The Problem is that making friends doesn't get the job done. You can like him all you like but when you suck... you suck.

I still believe Payton saw a defense out there he wanted to immulate and tried to make it happen no matter what. You have to have the right players in place to emmulate a Seattle or Denver.

Did he? Yeah.,. Hicks was so good at being a DT for the Pats they didn't even bother to re-sign him. They just let him walk. That tells me all I need to know.

In terms of Akiem Hicks, I'm really struggling to believe a word he's saying.

We never asked him to drop back into coverage, he had one job, collapse the pocket, he couldn't do it consistently and it showed. That's why I'm struggling to see why scheme hurt him so much.
