It's training camp. Let's put this into perspective.

Still have to wait until we play a game that means something, but sounds at least somewhat better than last two seasons.

Isn't this about approx. the 12th time you have made this same post when people are discussing what is coming out of camp...and don't you get corrected each and every time that people already recognize we need to have a wait and see approach and yet you ignore that because you'd rather continue to press your agenda? How many post will you say the same thing on only to be told we recognize we need a wait and see approach but that the stuff coming out of camp sounds, at least somewhat, better than last season. I mean for christ sakes you responded to a post that said this:



Do you really think most people on this board do not recognize it is just camp and until the Raiders come to town nothing matters?? But this is what fans do boss- we discuss where the team is and where they might be going...if not then why are you here? I don't mind opposing views because we are here for that, but you continue to say the same thing on damn near every post about the D looking better or doing some things better... and you're doing that even when people say we recognize it is camp. So WTF is your point man?

Press my agenda? If i am pressing an agenda then wouldn't you be doing the exact same thing in the opposite direction?

It's so funny when people don't agree with the team going 16-0 and winning the superbowl everyone gets their feelings hurt. Do I want that to happen too? Of course! Do i want Breaux to be a top shutdown corner in the league? Of course!
But I also have an ounce of realism about the entire situation. Breaux also got torched at times last year and this defense was epically bad. So you may have to overlook my "pessimism" when it comes to the saints defense being much improved through 5 days of camp.

My Agenda...is to look at what is being said by commentators, both of who are ex-professional football players and then say, but we need to wait until they play a meaningful game. I don't know what agenda that is other than to say things sound somewhat better than last year and I am optimistic. 16-0, WTF, that is an exaggeration and if you look at my post they are not sunshine and rainbows.

Much improved vs what my post said- somewhat better than the last two years. You're exaggerating the point I made to fit the narrative you need it to fit in order to come back with a comment like that.

Somewhat better is not the same as much improved...second, I openly stated but we need to wait and see what happens when a meaningful game is played. I never said much improved.

Sorry Spk, that wasn't to suggest you specifically said those things as much a rhetorical comment about predictions and the crazy optimism that often times gets thrown around on the board.

I as much as anyone desperately want to see improvements and have to constantly remind myself to temper the expectations I have when I hear the constant reporting of how amazing everyone is in camp. Other teams I am sure are reporting the same great things about their players, and it just doesn't necessarily translate into W's and record breaking stats.
