Re: 5-11 to 7-9
Some "Well Respected" member of this board claims to have two sources on the "inside" of the Saints Front Office. Two years ago he claimed the Saints had "No Plan" for the upcoming draft. The one that ended up almost all defense!
What say you now? Don't forget: "We may have lost the game but they'll be hurting today" That's what's most important!!! |
Re: 5-11 to 7-9
Gonna be a long season boys and girls. That was pitiful last night.

Re: 5-11 to 7-9
No way I see this team being able to win 10 games. Let's just face it. We do not have good players at least not enough good ones to compete. The evaluation of talent has been horrible what is high character without talent. It has been a steady slide downward to the point that it is almost comical. With this offensive line I do not see Brees being able to get through the year injury free. It has almost turned me off to watching football.

Re: 5-11 to 7-9
The OLine is a concern. But, they are solid if healthy. The offense will be good. With Brees, Cooks, Snead, Thomas, Fleener, and a healthy Spiller added to the mix, I'm not worried about the offense. The defensive lack of pressure is a concern. The loss of Rankins in the mix is big. Now, they're going to have to try and create pressure. Which in turn puts more pressure on a young, albeit, talented secondary. The LB's are solid. Things have to bounce right, but this team could go 10-6.

Re: 5-11 to 7-9
I once found this beautiful turd outside. I cleaned it and polished it every day. It was very shiny, but at the end of the day it was still a turd

Re: 5-11 to 7-9
Yeah I share in the frustration. You come home give us something to get excited about first 4 series give us something and then coast. There was little to nothing I can take away that we are a play off team.
The D is still a major problem and not our O-line is going to get Bree's killed. We still don't have a running game. I never liked Ingram for the most part and he hasn't changed that one bit. Seems like this is the season our only dreams are to see who gets the top picks in the draft. |
Re: 5-11 to 7-9
I should have know, when I hear on the radio that the Defense looks good at camp. Out doing the O, int's on brees. Sacks from the from line if they were in a game.
Christ, they are both just bad. Young to experience just bad. I feel like someone just sold me a lemon car off of ebay. |

You have to "Want" to buy! Was it "Sold" to you or did you "BUY" it?

I saw some encouraging signs from a very very young team. We may have the youngest starting defense in the league when the season starts. And we're probably just as young on offense without Strief and Brees. Pittsburgh has an explosive offense (3rd best in the NFL) and they targeted our rookie CB's through the air. We'll be fine, although another injury to Armstead is as concerning as an injury to Brees. If we lose that cat, we're in big trouble. "We've kept things very simple up to this point and so it's not like we're out there with a great game plan and trying to trick people and throwing the kitchen sink at them." -- Drew Brees. I'm sticking with 10-6, but I am a little bit more nervous about it now. |
