TRADE BREES

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I know I know I'll get blasted for this but hear me out. We are just prolonging the inevitable. Start cleaning house and trade anything we can get value for. Dallas needs a QB even the Bronco's may even jump ...

TRADE BREES

I know I know I'll get blasted for this but hear me out.

We are just prolonging the inevitable. Start cleaning house and trade anything we can get value for. Dallas needs a QB even the Bronco's may even jump at it. Get us a couple of younger players showing promise this off season and a couple of picks.

I think Sean is a great coach if he wanted to buy some time keeping his job... I could respect him more by cleaning house now or a year or two ago. We are going to have to clean house including getting rid of him if he doesn't do it himself.

Every so often you need to clean house and start fresh. Unless you are the Patriots and they make the playoffs every year which is more that I can say about us lately.

Re: TRADE BREE's

Its too late for that imo.
Had this been done before FA when the money could have been spent i could understand rebuilding. Not now,not unless your willing to throw the season away and get a hatful of picks next year

Re: TRADE BREE's

Yes let's trade Brees. Let's also trade Cooks and Michael Thomas since they will also reap some deep rewards. We could also probably get some good trades for Stephone Anthony and Delvin Breaux. Let's keep all the crappy players and build around them!

I could fathom the thought maybe at the end of last season... No way in hell though I would clean house...

He hadn't said that though has he.
The suggestion is do you trade the man while you can or do you pay him huge money again. Money that will handicap revuilding a team that has made the post season once since 2011,is 33-33 in that time frame. Now ive not looked at the college QBs but could a niddle of the road QB work behind a good line with the Saints weapons and a improved dedense?. Plenty of young or average QBs have

I guess this dead horse has been reincarnated.
We will pay Brees $30 million this year if he plays for us or not.

and did he always have that apostrophe in his name?

Re: TRADE BREE's

I could see Brees traded but only after the season. I could see them place the franchise tag on him for 43 million and trade him to the 49ers or Cleveland for a draft pick or 2. He would probably sign a 3 year deal with another team paying him 25 million a year. We get a rd 2 and rd 3 next year. No way we should let him walk with nothing. Make him sign with us or trade him to the worst team in the league.
