And at the end of the day we aren't putting up more than 25 a game, which is about average for a half decent offense now. The offensive ranking is extremely hollow.

The question was about the offensive line, not where we rank in yards.

The defense rightfully takes a lot of the blame. There have been ten thousand threads about that. This team has been bottom of the league in rushing, gives up tons of pressures, and just doesn't sustain enough drives, particularly in the biggest games. They can still feast when going against defenses ranked in the lower half.

If we had a decent defense we might not have to air it out so much.

And its not just yards we lead the league in year in and year out. Its nearly every relevant statistical category there is.

We were top 10 in PPG for the last 2 years, and most points per drive.

Not buying it BM.

  • Wasted draft picks (Greyson is typical, could have had more o-line).
  • Playcall gets too ambitious.
  • Too quick to pass, not enough mix of pass and run.
  • Can't beat teams who smack us in the face.

That said, I hope I'm wrong and I hope we go all the way and shut my chubby azz up!

yep, look at the dead money ect.

I've made the exact same arguments, Danno, but they are convinced the offensive is one of the worst in the NFL. I'm giving up.

Nope. Nothing I can do about that so I ignore it.

I will agree whole heartedly with that.Sean and Mickey are a lot to blame here no question. I feel they should be on the hot seat myself

We were also #1 in 3rd down conversions (2014 AND 2015) so I'm not buying the "can't sustain drives" argument.

It's because the defense sucks and because we can't run that we air it out so much. That makes for lots of yards, and especially the garbage time yards and points.

And being in the top ten in scoring isn't a big deal. When you look at points per game there isn't much distance from 10 and, say, 16th or 17th in points. An elite offense in today's NFL should average at least about 27 a game. Carolina was 11th in total offense, but led the league in points with over 31 a game. It's amazing what a little balance and sustainability can do for you.

I blame those guys all the time. Right now I'm commenting on players, but there's no question I think the staff has dropped the ball. But, you know, some posters don't want to hear that either. It's a big love fest until it isn't. I can't figure it out.

Some enjoy being a fan and simply being entertained. Others enjoy *****ing.

No I'm not saying the offense is bad your missing it.the line play on a consistent basic is bad. The inability to open running lanes. Passing game isnt the issue .
