this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I hope henderson for the sake he is a 2nd rdr, but if i had to choose right now i would say Gardner. The good thing is the loser of the battle is our 4th receiver!!!...

Henderson or Gardner?
Pathon was a good route-runner, and could take a decent pop over the middle when he had to. I hated to lose him, but agreed his cap number had just gotten too high.
I\'m not sure either Gardner or Henderson can really fill Pathon\'s cleats, but one of \'em (or Lewis, or Black) is gonna have to. Given his size, I\'m compelled to pull for Gardner. The Saints knew he was raw when they drafted him, but he has decent speed and hasn\'t really been given many chances on the field. If he can prove himself over the middle, I say give the man a shot. God knows we\'re hurting in the slot, now. |
