Which one will be the 3rd wide out?
I found this... His departure paves the way for former LSU standout Devery Henderson, who did not play in 2004, to step up and validate his selection with the 50th overall choice last April. The Saints also have on their roster veteran return special Michael Lewis, who has also played some slot receiver, and 2003 7th round choice Talman Gardner, who has struggled in his scant opportunities so far. http://www.neworleansprofootball.com/030205pathon.html Doesn't give alot of insight...but..raises the inevitable question.. Who will be our 3rd wideout? I really think, and hope, that Henderson does step it up..and fill the role which he was drafted to play... Gardner hasn't really done much of anything...and , I believe his time here is coming down to the wire...If Henderson doesn't start to actually play, and perform, I suspect he won't have a long tenure here either... |

It better be Henderson. The 2nd rounders who don\'t contribute portion of the bench is full.

Henderson has been due to get his shot for a while now. I think for sure it\'s him. With Stallworth at the 2 spot and Henderson at 3, That\'s a lot of speed! Hope they can both catch as well as they run this year and we should be in for a treat.

When you think about the potential, it\'s staggering...
IF stallworth were to improve on last years performance, and Henderson were to fill in Pathon\'s shoes, which will be no easy task..Pathon was one tough sucka.. Then with Horn\'s level of play that he displys constantly...We would have anoe killer trio..not many teams would be able to line up against us, and match up... |

I know how everyone is split on Brooks around here, But has anyone ever questioned his arm strength? I\'m guessing many other things, but not that. Let\'s face it he\'s got a gun. If he can throw it out there, then these 2 have as good a chance on sheer speed alone, to beat anyone covering them to it. I think that\'s why the face when thinking about this duo, that\'s all. i\'m not saying they\'re the sure thing, but it should be fun too watch.

I would say Henderson gets first crack because of being the 2nd round pick. But I have to disagree with Gardner. Now I state once again that I have an affinity from the boys from Tallahassee, but Talman is as much the burner that Devery and Stallworth are. If he can get his route running a little more fine tuned, he could emerge as one heck of a big play threat for us.

Gardner would be a better weapon, if he can step it up. He would be our biggest receiver, and size is something we lack at that position.
Henderson is a shorter Stallworth. |

On paper (size and speed) and about potential, I\'d take Gardner without hesitation. But neither has proved anything and I\'d love to see them battle it out in camp. I hope both of them turn out to be solid players for us.
