Re: Getting off the Sean Payton Bandwagon

In our 50 year history we won one Super bowl. One. Sean Payton turned this franchise around using the techniques learned from Bill Parcells. The system needs to be updated and refined by someone outside the organization who can come in with a fresh perspective like when Payton first arrived. Loomis is nothing more than a yes man with creative accounting ideas.

Loomis is the one who needs to go not Payton. Payton knows how to run offense but is truly clueless about defense. Ireland has helped with drafting defensive talent for Dennis Allen to play with. Our free agency moves are still questionable but we have a better success rate with players making an impact that in years gone by. Loomis can stay as a bean counter if the organization wants to keep him but Payton and Loomis both need a handler who can reign them in and make the correct decisions moving forward.

Payton isn't the problem.

Don't forget the TURNOVERS.... :goodidea:

So Jason Garett is cool since his team is 9-1? He's been in Dallas a long time and has not won a SB.

I've never been a fan of Jason Garrett but he has grown on me and yes I think he is cool. He has Dak Prescostt, Ezekial Elliot, Dez Bryant, Jason Witten and a hell of an offensive line. That's pretty cool in my book.:cool3:

Jason Garrett would be my Coach of the Year choice. To get a rookie QB playing this well week in and week out is impressive, no matter how good the OL is.

I remember his as a backup. That was his job and he did it well. I've always liked the guy.

I am not ready to jump off the bandwagon. Some teams get their shot and never return. I just don't think we need a change at HC just yet. It would be one thing if he was not addressing and making the team better. I mean its obviously he saw something in the ST's and got another coach coming in. He keeps tweaking where he needs to... that is all I want to see instead of a team like the Browns who are going through a season and just playing for the first round pick next year.

1. Can't control the injuries so that's not Payton's fault.

2. Who's responsible for getting us a good ST coach?

In 2006 we had injuries to Horn and Colston. In 2009 we had injury to "he who shall not be named"(rhymes with Harper) down the stretch, in 2010 Brees played with injury and we lost Graham and Shockey both at one point, played most of the season without Reggie. We've won before with injuries.

You have a right to you opinion but I disagree. Brees would have been great in San Diego if not for coaching. Tony Romo also had Payton, he's not as good as Brees but Brees has had Payton longer.

And Romo hadn't progressed after Payton left, even before the injuries...
