Re: An early look at the 2017 NO Saints free agents
I got to agree here on Hightower, and will add he's looked better than Ingram at times. I would love to see us with a sledge hammer type back to wear out opposing D's but Payton being a pass happy coach I'm typing in vein.

Payton has a certain attachment to people who underperform and still he keeps them around - Cadet, Coleman, Vitt, McMahon to name a few. Spiller was tons better than him in training camp and preseason, all this "Cadet knows the system" nonsense really bugs me, great he knows the offense, so do the bucs, falcons and panthers. They catch more passes against us than Cadet does for us. |

Re: An early look at the 2017 NO Saints free agents
Every time Cadet is on the field I feel like we are playing with ten men on the field. I have no hope.....make that zero percent that Cadet will ever make an impact on this team. His impact is usually minimal and he only does well when he's not game planned for. I cringe when I hear his name. I'll gladly pay more money for a better player. Cut him and don't look back.

So am I. This could be a contract year performance and then he goes for the big bucks. The question will be, has he changed or will he go right back to the player he was in Detroit?
If I were the saints I would go performance based contract and keep tabs on Johnathan Hankins NY Giants 25 / 6'2' / 320 NYG spent a lot of cash on signings FA for the DL last year. He might just slip out of town. Hankins is much better against the run and collapsing the pocket. If the contracts requests are even close I would sign Hankins |

Smash totally agree with you here...
Like a 5 CB set of Del Breaux, PJ Williams, Sterling Moore, Ken Crawley and De'Vante Harris with Damain Swann (if healthy) switching to Free Safety and able to play some CB as necessary... Bring in Webb for camp... Cadet is becoming our Kevin Faulk... |
