Am I the only one who wants Delvin Breaux to find another team that guys cost us more in penalties than any other corner back in the league. He is horrible in coverage and can't seem to keep his hands off of receivers. He needs to be the first one cut.

Two posts and they both mention that you hate Breaux. I like him. He is a good shut down corner who broke his leg this year and is still getting back in shape. Are you a member of SR? jk:broccoli:

Welcome to the board.

I don't know what you mean by "SR".

I'm not judgmental of his passion for the game, but rather his stats. I'm just not seeing him help more than he is hurting the team.

He had an injury-shortened season and never seemed to get back in the groove. He was bad, no doubt about it... But he was phenomenal last season so we know the ability is there. I still have faith in Breaux!

We will soon see, I would love to be proven wrong and I would love for him to play the game without getting so many pass interference calls. It's not his physical ability to run with receivers nor his ability to play aggressive that is in question. But rather his ability to keep his hands off of wide receivers and to get his head turned around to make a play on the ball that, I have not seen from him yet. Again, I truly hope that I am wrong in that going into next year, if he is still on the team, he can get his head around to make a play on the ball and not grab and pull receivers. If he does not stop that behavior no matter what he will be released from the team. One other thing, I would love for him to get out of the number one spot for most penalized corner back in the league. The team cannot afford those 15 yard penalties that seem to always be at the wrong time.

He's also the best CB we have. You don't cut anyone until you're sure you can upgrade.

I can hardly see a scenario where Breaux is released anytime soon. Secondly, what source did you find out that DB is the most penalized CB in the league? Per NFL tracker, JOSH NORMAN (12) has been flagged far more this season and I'm 100 % certain the Redskins aren't considering cutting him . Circle back to last week's game in Tampa. There were penalties across the board that are biting us. Unnecessary roughness by Harper, Stephone mugging the RB, Hills crucial holding call on the 1 inch line, Peat hold on a fg attempt etc, etc. Same can be said about penalties in the KC game (10-75) as well. It's a team effort on penalties and we are failing.

See NFL penalty tracker link below.

By the way, welcome to B&G :bng:

We'll pick in the top 10. SHould be easy.

We've got guys coming off of injured reserve, rookies who're wiser, and the draft will be fairly deep as it was last year at the position...

They'll be good guards in the mid rounds as well...

Don't understand national pundits having us go after CB...

Sign RG Kevin Zeitler, and we can pretty much let the good players fall to us in the draft...

Yes I do believe that you are the only one.

He is the best CB on the team and is playing his second year in the league. I think he'll be fine if he can stay healthy.

I agree that we have to get after the QB, C. Jordan is playing well and does get after the QB. However, most of the time he has 2 to 3 people defending him and without someone to draw some of this attention he will be a non factor most of the game.

Better cover guys can help this effort by playing smart and not being behind the sticks on 3rd downs (Defensive Coordinator). Letting teams catch the ball 5 to 7 yards in front of us when they need 7 to 8 yards for a first down is a gamble that continues to hurt us. We have to have cover guys that can pay Man Coverage in these situations and not use their hands beyond the 5 yard allowance. This is my issue with D. Breaux. No doubt he is good but he has to get his head around and go after the ball. I am simply not seeing him elevate his game. (I was mistaken in and earlier post when I said he was the most penalized CB. he is not). His play is hurting frustrating in so many ways I could right a book about it. PLAY THE BALL! DON'T TOUCH PULL AT THE RECEIVERS! I digress.
