Updated [again] my favorite targets for the Saints' Top Ten Free Agent Targets:
1. RG Kevin Zeitler, 27 (The Big Fish) 2. LG Andrew Norwell, 25 (RFA) 3. DE Calais Campbell, 30 4. DE Jason Pierre-Paul, 28 (Red Flag) 5. CB Trumaine Johnson, 27 6. QB Brian Hoyer, 31 7. QB Nick Foles, 28 8. CB Sterling Moore, 26 9. WR Willie Snead, 24 (RFA) 10. FB John Kuhn, 34 (signed) :bng: Note(s): It's looking more and more like JPP may be in play for the Saints; I'd prefer Campbell, but he's 30, but could put us over the hump... Dropped Fairley as I don't see a spot for him at the contract he earned this past season; some guys are 1`year contract guys... Disclaimer: Again, don't expect to sign all from the list, but three or four of the top 6 would be great... Signing three of the top five and our key returning FAs would have me ![]() |

JPP is going to get a sh**load from someone...maybe us? 14 mill at age 28 = not good numbers I'd love to get a guard on March 7, Day one. |

Re: 2017 Free Agency thread anyone?
If Fairley is over 5mil per annum, he's gone...
And he's easily performed for those numbers in this year's market... Here's the thing - We've got a logjam now at interior DL with Rankins, Davison, Ony and you're going to commit those kind of numbers to a rotational DL when you've got a glaring need at DE to go opposite Cam Jordan? |

Kevin Heitler will become the highest paid guard in the league this year. There are several teams, including the Saints, 49ers and Broncos that might be willing to dish out the money. A.J. Klein is expected to leave Carolina looking for a starting job with somebody, but I haven't seen any team specifically mentioned. Stephen Gilmore is looking to make more than Richard Sherman at $14mil/annually. The Bears have expressed interest in pursuing him. Calais Campbell is reportedly high on the Broncos list of free agent acquisitions. Campbell has said he's hoping to get Malik Jackson money, approx 13mil/year. Andre Branch has stated that he wants to stay with the Dolphins and the Dolphins have said he is a high priority resign. The Colts have lots of money for free agents this year but the question becomes, how much do they want to pay at the position. They just signed Dwayne Allen to a 4 year 29mil/annually last season. Jack Doyle could get that same kind of money on the market. |
