He'll be able to return to football in the offseason, and yet I would say probably one of the more severe concussions that I've seen. It's not measured by just on the field, the series of tests they do that they're able to determine how much trauma in the event, and this is one where the rest and recovery is going to be necessary. And all the experts really take a peek at all the different slides and scans, and so that made the decision then to put him on IR obviously an easy one -- and yet challenging."

I don't expect them to make an IR exemption for concussions as they could be made culpable in further litigation...

And look, P.J. has showed he's a gamer. A soldier. He'd want to get right back out there; but who's gonna assume the liability if he's out there in four to six weeks?

IR-No Return is the best answer with those concussion injuries...

I'll be really pulling for him to come back with an outstanding season like he had in the Raiders game and show that he was a steal in the third round...

If Nolan can't get Anthony turned around, it sounds like Anzalone should have no trouble stepping in there if his injury problems are truly behind him. In fact, between Ellerbe's love of the trainers and Anthony's regression, he could be seeing a lot of playing time.
