And players would be lining up to play for the guy. I think it would be fairly easy and rank alot better than we are now. I'm not a betting man but if I were he could get us into the high teen in his first season.

And how do you see them as strictly 3-4 players? So we get rid of Jordan who cna't muddle through in a 3-4? Fairley who is a 4-3? Kikaha who was slated to be a 4-3 DE before the injury? Throw them out? We are now bulit to be a 4-3 with our best players on the front seven. Why change again?

It's all about the LB coach. I feel like the D-Line and secondary are in good hands with Brian Young and Aaron Glenn. We've prayed for a new LB coach for so long. I have no idea who's out there though.

I like the LB coach from Dolphins

I prefer Singletary for linebacker coach but if they want to try Vilma it might work. Is Ken Norton available?

Do you mean Ken Norton Jr? He is the defensive coordinator for the Raiders.

Here are a few more notable names:

Jason Tarver - outside LB's 49ers (worked with DAllen in the past)
Bob Babich - LB coach CHARGERS (former coordinator w/Jags)
Mike Mallory - Special Teams Coach JAGUARS (ranked as high as 5th in 2015)
John Pagani - defensive coordinator CHARGERS (solid LB coach)

Yep, that's who I was referring to. No chance of him taking a demotion.

Actually Kiki was drafted by Ryan for a 3-4. I would be careful on a Fairley anyway. Jordan, what would a 4-3 team give for him and Vaccarro? I'm sure Phillips would know what he has and hasn't got. Your talking about having one of the best DC's out there and you wouldn't want him because of a 4-3 scheme and a few players that have under performed? We're young at a lot of positions and developing these players for the future is a must in my opionion so why not get the best out there to make it happen ?

Kikaha flourished as a 4-3 DE for Washington. He was only converted to a Jack his senior year. Payton said he was looking forward to Kikaha's move back to a 4-3 DE prior to his injury in preseason. Let's just see what Kikaha can do as a dedicated edge rusher. Jordan is easily the best player on the Saints defense. Why would they ever consider trading him, not to mention NFL trades are extremely rare? The fact is, Dennis Allen is going nowhere and the Saints will continue the conversion to the 4-3 and all other speculation is meaningless.

You may be right about Allen staying which does mean a 4-3 D. Although Jordan is a good player, he is not a dominate player or has ever just taken over a game against solid tackles, my opionion of him is lower than yours. As far as trades go NE does it along with others. Ellerbe for Stills, Graham for Unger, it's not uncommon even for us. It may be meaningless but if we had a shot at getting Phillips or even Bradley we should, those coaches have proven track records. What does Allen have? I think we could and should do better at DC if we can now even more since the good ole boys were sent packing.
