Chargers to announce move to Los Angeles

I wonder if this means Philip Rivers will ask to be traded. He's a conservative family man and was rumored to not want anything to do with LA.

Is there a Saints connection here somewhere? Are WE thinking of moving there too or something?

What a mess. LA has a lot of Raiders fans. No one will care about the Chargers there unless they win 12 games in their first year.

This is going to be a colossal train wreck. The new logo is hot trash. At least with almost every other sports move you had a new city that had a vacancy for a pro team - Oklahama City Thunder, New Orleans Jazz, Indianapolis Colts, etc. And this is nothing like the Rams; the Rams have the tradition and nostalgia to fall back on since they used to be in LA.

The only good thing that can come out of this is it's another black-eye for Goodell and his no-****s-given approach to pretty much everything.

Godhell is doing his best to over saturate the market. They won't last long there. Fans can be sooo fickle.

Not all (and this also applies to other places), but many in L.A. culture want to be associated with a winner...big part of why NFL teams fail in that huge market. I'm sure many here have seen the number of "super fan" celebrities at Lakers games when they play well and their mysterious absence when they are losing.

Its been said but I'll say it again. There's just too much to DO down there. They're not going to support a 7-9 team, much less two of them...not with any consistency.

Anyone else notice how much Spranos looks like Goodhell? Noticed it today watching ESPN when he was talking about the move.
