I could get on board with Sheard, but does NE let him go?

Sheard didn't play very well for NE.

Sheard didn't play bad. 13 sacks in 2 seasons is not bad. Jordan had 17 sacks the past 2 season for the Saints. Did he play bad too?

Can't compare to Jordan. Jordan doesn't have that kind of supporting cast. To be more precise Sheard didn't impress me last season. Even got benched for his poor play. Reminds me of Browner situation in NE.

You give me a guy that avg 6.5 sacks a season across from Jordan and ill be happy. I would be a "pick your poison" for the offenses.

The problem I see is that many posters are undervaluing Fairley's contributions...hopefully the team doesn't do the same.

Let's all kick back and see what NF actual price tag is .

I have a feeling he really wants to be here. He comes across as thankful for what the saints did for him. He may actually take a little less to stay in the big easy. I may be wrong but I think he has found his home.

The figure now is 10 million and I think we can find another one just as good in free agency for half the price.

We've gpt three really good interior defensive linemen now in Rankins, Davison and Onyemata - and remember that Davison played the season injured...

With Rankins and Davison your likely starters, would you spend that kind of money on a reserve defensive tackle?
