Cooks is really in a bad spot. Should have kept quiet. He could potentially wind up on his third team in 3 years and then get stuck on a truly awful team the rest of his career.

If he stays....His mouth better shut and he better start being a teamer. I don't give a hell if he gets "fed" or not. Wins. That's all that matters. Wins.

Trading cooks for butler will be a Big mistake. I'll rather we take our chances with a draft pick. The division New England in who do he really have to cover? Speedy recievers like Kenny Stills had a field day on him and they used schemes to cover Antoino Browns and he still broke loose. Don't be fooled by a papa john commercial

Pro day:

20 Yrd Dash: 2.75
10 Yrd Dash: 1.62 225 Lb. Bench Reps: 13
Vertical Jump: 33 1/2
Broad Jump: 09'10"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.27

I wouldn't want Butler. Not to mention it's a position that is up/down AND has an incredibly high bust rate when it comes to a player switching teams /systems. I'd prefer the Saints hold firm (wanting two draft picks) if they do in fact trade Cooks.

Re: Patriots considering trading Malcolm Butler to Saints for Brandin Cooks: report

Thats my problem as the draft class is fully stacked through at least two rounds at CB.

Id only take picks. What i would do though is try to find out what Butler wants and if its agreeable post or during the draft offer the Pats a 3rd round pick for him. He will walk in a year and they will take something rather than nothing imo

Looking at that Miami-Rams trade last night. Think we missed out there. Hayes would have offered good rotation at a minimum at DE and just swapping a 6th for 7th would have been worth a deal

far too many failures signing and trading for high priced CB's in this league. Huge gamble. I don't like it

Just keep Cooks and find a CB in the draft

He had a strong combine. Almost certainly a first round pick now I'm afraid.
