If you've read the post, and look at the circumstances, he did not come clean nor he and his OU support team try to spin things down until the video of the assault, the video of the police interview were made public. Look at the video of the interview before the Bowl Game and then after the before mentioned video were made public, pressure was finally turned on him... He did not feign contrition until three months ago, the incident was in 2014... This is from PFT As it relates to the existence of remorse, the most obvious question is when did Mixon first apologize to Molitor or her family? Here’s what Mixon said during a Monday visit to PFT Live. “It was actually about two years later,” Mixon said. “I’ve always wanted to apologize but from my legal team and a couple of people from the legal situation. . . . you know, in the Oklahoma program to media it wasn’t a right time for me, the right time for me to actually apologize. I pretty much told my legal team that if I could do anything for me to at least see her face-to-face you know where nobody is around I could at least apologize and ask her for my forgiveness but they didn’t allow me to do that. The first opportunity I got, you know, I’ve taken the initiative to ask for forgiveness and apologize to her and if I could’ve did it before I would’ve done that.” On first glance you could argue that he wants her to ask his forgiveness because that is what he said verbatim... Now, you can give Mixon the benefit that he's not the most polished speaker... But even still it is about "my forgiveness" in his words, not her forgiveness... I don't buy his act, not one bit. It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

No when she stood up, pushed him, and then slapped him he finally punched her in the face. So you cannot ask me to go learn what happened when you were deceptive in what you wrote. Maybe you meant to say when she pushed and slapped him, but you said he hit her when she stood up. If he was stalking them, tormenting the young man simply because he is queer then he is a punk. Mind you he was like 17 or 18 when it happened, but still a definite punk. That doesn't give her any frigan right to push and slap him. He has every right to hit a person that puts their hands on him first. It is absolute BS that you don't hit a woman back, absolute BS! I don't agree with bullying in any form, but she should have contacted the police. He was not physically assaulting them so she had no right to place her hands on him. She could have filed with the police. |
Your team stinks

Re: Mixon?
Two consecutive threads about this kid. How 'bout we merge them? He has a lot to prove in the big leagues and this is something that will follow him for years. The only way he'll probably ever get over it will be to win a bunch of games (Just ask Big Ben about that). I hope I'm as wrong about him as I was about Honey Badger, but I don't have that great a feeling about drafting him.

Re: Mixon?
As a father of 2 15 year old girls, yeah it's rough, damn boys. I have preached to them that just because "boys aren't suppose to hit girls" doesn't mean they won't. I remind them prisons are full of people that did stuff they wasn't suppose to. As for drafting him, eh don't have to like everybody on the team.

Re: Mixon?
Just say no ! there are too many other good RBs without the character issues.
I am not saying he should not get a second chance. just not on our team. |
