Skill Vs Stats, Choose A Side

In an attempt to actually add a real post to this thred -- I think that people are missing the big picture here. Good Stats do prove who is productive -- does demonstrate a certain skill level -- but average stats do not necessarily measure the skill level of a player. A player with better stats may not be the higher skilled player -- For example -- lets take a defensive end who is so skilled and feared that he is always double teamed. Naturally his sack and tackle production goes down and maybe the other starting defensive end gets better stats because of being single teamed. Okay now what do the the stats in that particular instance say --who would you say is better - which player is more skilled? Now recievers are a different lot - stats may be measured by how good the QB is, how much of a run oriented team, the offense play calling etc. Based on that here is my humble opinion -- Joe\' stats do prove he is a very productive and highly skilled player. That said if I got the choice to pick any receiver right now to start for the Saints is Joe in the top 3 -- no-- is Joe in the top 5 no -- is he in the top 10 -- definitely
