Let me say this... I had a feeling we would draft Alvin Kamara. That's not a surprise to me at all. Giving up our 7th rounder doesn't even bother me.

However... trading away next year's 2nd rounder has me a little pi$$ed.

The team had to trade something of equal value. A 7th for a 3rd makes no sense.

Traditionally a pick in next year's draft has an equivalent value to a pick one round lower in the current draft. So a 2nd next year is in the ballpark of a third this year.

Finally Kamarra has a 2nd round grade on most boards.

So dude will be considered a 2nd round pick next year that the team gets this year with the additional cost of a 7th round pick.

If he can come in and be half of what Sproles was at the top of his game in the Saints offense, then maybe it'll pan out...
