I think Benson is the man. How many times do we fall for the work-out numbers? Brown shot up the chart by running a good time. but he\'s yet to prove to anyone he\'s durable enough. he\'s always split time with Carnell.
Ditto for Carnell Williams. Both will be great backs but if I was going to pick one with a top 5 pick, my money\'s on Benson. He appears to be a Rickey Williams type, without the mental problems. But If I needed a RB I\'d be happy with any of those three. |

Ronnie Brown, definitely. Benson will be like Eddie George. Burning out early, you will see a definite drop in his production later in his career due to overuse early, high school and college. Earl Campbell syndrome. I would bet on it. Brown is faster, stronger, catches better, and has had less wear and tear over his career due to the presence of Cadillac, whom I think is simply overrated.

Not true, as in the example of Ronnie Brown. And what I mean by overuse is blatant on the part of MAck Brown. Like when they are playing a team like North Texas and are up 38-3 in the 4th quarter, Benson is still in there pounding the ball cause Mack wants to try and be number one in the country in rushing. Stuff like that. Week in week out for years. That stuff takes a toll on you. Some backs have a way high number of carries in their college careers, and Benson is one. He will also be a workhorse in the NFL, which I think will wear him down. AND Texas offense has been run heavy for a while. Other backs may be in more balanced systems.

I would without a doubt go with Benson. I actually played against this guy in high school while he was at Midland Lee and he was an animal. It was his senior year and he was already really developed. I can\'t imagine what the guy is like now. We, West Monroe, won the game, but he took the opening kick off like 90 yards for a TD. He only finished with like 60 yds rushing, but our defense was badazz, it was raining, and we were at home.

I see what you mean Whodi. Mack did overuse him bad and I know that in high school he had like a zillion yards so he got alot of carries there to.

I like benson he\'s just like when Ricky Williams came out but I like Ronnie Brown\'s speed, power, and athleticism something Benson doesn\'t have.
