You totally missed the point. The undersized Cooks was handicapped on those deep passes. His value was more in his ability to stretch the field and in gimmick plays. Ginn has the downfield speed to stretch the field and Kamara can do anything that Cooks could on the gimmick plays.

I am also curious to see what Ginn can do with proper coaching, at last.

Cooks was also awful at gimmick plays, he was plain bad as a runner in the open field. I don't recall him making many folks miss a tackle, hence why he was no longer the PR.

He's currently the best speedy deep threat on the roster, looks to be locked in as the 3rd receiver, and has averaged over 700 yards receiving the past 2 years. But you keep laughing though ...

Ginn said he has a learning disability. I'll leave that there along with our playbook.

And that was with Newton throwing him the ball.

2016
Brees 70% completion percentage, passer rating 101.7
Newton 52.9% (worst among QBs with 150 or more attempts) and a 75.8 passer rating (third worst among QBs with 150 or more attempts)

2015
Brees 68.3% completion percentage, 101.6 passer rating
Newton 59.8% with a 99.4 passer rating. (best year of his career)

I would expect Ginn's numbers to improve with the Saints.

You're implaying we never had a bad receiver or a receiver miss catching perfectly thrown balls? Ginn's problem will be him not getting enough targets. Most receivers are not effective without 7 plus targets a game.

I'm not "implaying" anything at all. I'm saying quite directly, I would expect receivers to be more productive with a more accurate passer.

Do you disagree?
