Come on guys, there is obviously a pattern here. Saints trade up to draft a RB who is better than Ingram in every way and also sign Adrian Peterson. Doesn't this look reminiscent of when they drafted Ingram when Bush was on the roster. Also, look at the fact that every malcontent has been cut or traded away. Galette, Lofton, Graham, Cooks, Lewis etc. It's clear Payton doesn't like insubordination or being challenged by his players. Anybody remember the many outbursts Ingram has had on the sidelines and I think the last one against the Cardinals was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Trust me when I say this....they're definitely trying to rid themselves of Ingram. Anybody with a me personality is being weeded out. Besides, it took Ingram like 5 years to finally get 1000 yds. People can say it's because he didn't get enough carries but I think the fact that he couldn't stay healthy is the reason he didn't get the lion's share of the carries. If Peterson is anywhere near his old self, Ingram is on the way out either this season or the next. There's no need for two workhorses and the pass catching role will be taken over by Kamara. Eventually, Kamara will take over full-time as the 3 down back.
There is very much wrong with this post.

Philly couldn't sign AP? They couldn't have take Kamara before us? They didn't want Mixon, Lacy, Murray, Woodhead, Blount?

1. They were talking with Jamaal Charles.
2. Our draft spot was ahead of Philly so they would have to jump us. Also, maybe they didn't like Kamara as much as we did or think he was a fit for them.
3. Mixon was drafted by the Bengals who also was positioned ahead of philly and nobody was touching him in the first round. Lacy signed with Seattle. Woodhead signed with Baltimore. Murray signed with Minnesota. Blount doesn't fit Philly's scheme because they need a zone runner.

I don't get what you are getting at with these questions. You act as if Philly had first dibs on every running back available.

It makes sense to trade Ingram for Kelce and the 4th rd draft pick the Eagles got for Eric Rowe that could possibly become a 3rd rounder. I don't think it happens right away because I think they want to see how Peterson looks first. I think replacing our center is more important than Ingram. Without a good line, we won't be able to run anyway.

Why? Are you the guy who wrote that article in the first place?

Two unknown quantities are going to come in and take over the rushing responsibilities while the Saints dump their only experienced runner on the chance the center may not be ready for the season? Really?

I wouldn't call a HOF RB an unknown quantity. Once upon a time Ingram was an unknown quantity by that logic when we let Bush walk. I think Peterson is here to bridge the gap between this year and next year. Cooks being traded should all but tell you how Payton feels about players who complain about not getting the ball which Ingram has done multiple times during the game on the sidelines throwing fits. It's embarrassing to Payton and the coaching staff and it makes the team look bad.

This sounds like a media hack soliciting for the Eagles...

They'd better back the Brinks truck up with Kelce...

With AP an unknown yet physically, I'm not sure we **** with our depth...

Saints still need to see Kelemete before the deal, personally, I'd sign a banged up Mangold as Kelce has also been the disgruntled type...

Plus, do you invest that much into Kelce with Unger still under contract...

Senio Kelemete steps up.

anyone ready to address the need for a backup C/G via the draft to groom for replacement down the road?

In all reality this is the new elephant in the room. Once again, the injury bug hits us........that is the first.

#1 next season is center unless one of our UDFA's excels. Please bring someone else in now.

I don't feel comfortable with Kelemete(calamity) taking the center to start the season. We need to dominate on the O-line to get off to a strong start and his stating replacement isn't on the roster now. jmho

And stop with the Jimmy Graham fail talk. It gave us a first round draft pick and a starting center a couple of years ago and we dropped Jimmy's fat contract. This was a win for the FO. Selecting Anthony was where we failed.

Re: And so it begins.... Max Unger out

Can Mangold play another position?

Two scenarios:
- Unger takes longer than expected and Mangold keeps the job until the second half of the season or later
- Unger comes back 100%, and Mangold backs up at guard and OC

Another issue: Mangold is used to big money. Not sure we can afford him, even as a PT player
