This has been pointed out on several occasions by several members here, the dynamics of Benson/Loomis/Payton cannot be compared to what might happen in your average NFL hierarchy. The only person that can fire Payton is Benson and the Bensons loves him like a son. The Benson got their Lombardi before he died. If Benson lives to be 100 and every year is 7-9 Payton will remain coach as long as HE chooses. Tom Benson has a legacy now in the NFL because of Sean Payton. Hell, the stadium at the Pro Football Hall of Fame is now called Tom Benson Field.

If this was any other franchise other than perhaps the Patriots I would agree with you. But, it isn't.

Well the way they have structured it doesn't seem to be paying off for us lately, let's hope that changes this season.
