Bighill is just a straght up football player. He should have made the roster. He made plays against the run and pass. I just don't get the Lasco love. He's not the RB Cadet is and he hasn't flashed on special teams enough to keep him around.
Anthony looks lost more than anything else. The difference between him and Teo', Klien, Robertson and Anzalone is staggering. Bighill was the 5th best LB in preseason. Not even close. That being said, I think he will make the PS. |

Re: Roster Cutdown Mega-Thread
I understand Bighill may make it to the ps but i am still feeling bad for the guy. Dude put it all out there. Made a bunch of plays. To keep Anthony who has done nothing since his rookie yr over him, has to be a punch in the nards. Hope Bighill keeps his head up. You don't see heart like that to often.

Re: Roster Cutdown Mega-Thread
Really like Bighill and his story, but 'let's face it, he looked great against the 3's, not so much against the Ravens 1's...
Anthony was much improved until his injury which is what we now know is a high-ankle sprain and those take four-six weeks to recover, minimum... And consider this, we have Mike Nolan now, not Joe Vitt; Nolan I'm sure had considerable input into the decision to retain Anthony... Mike Nolan has a great reputation for coaching defenses, linebackers and Anthony is there because he was one of the six best... |

Re: Roster Cutdown Mega-Thread
I'm not holding my breath on Anthony and his development in black and gold. Let's just hope he gets it done when playing alongside a cerebral LB (see Teo & Klein). What will be will be.

Re: Roster Cutdown Mega-Thread
So our O-Line looks like this:
LT- Ryan Ramczyk, Terron Armstead (Injured) LG- Andrus Peat C- Max Unger, Josh LeRibeus RG- Larry Warford, Senio Kelemete RT- Zach Strief Think we're putting in a couple of waiver claims for O-Linemen? We'll be in better shape when Armstead gets healthy but right now we don't have a single back-up tackle. |
