We shouldn't have signed him if we weren't going to utilize him.

There will be games where he gets a lot of work. I thought on paper the game plan was fine. Heavy dose of Kamara, hardly any footage on him. Didn't work out but it made sense. I could see AP getting more carries this week with draws and play action. Short ball is not going to work with the Pats.

Yep.

Side note - his initial run was our longest run of the game.

I just don't get the hate for Adrian.

Let the man on the field so the defense can worry about being isolated with him one on one. Having a rookie on the field 2-3 times what AP was is insane.

"...but unfortunately that's the way the game played out." This is why to me, this should be a non issue. That last part says AP understands how the game unfolded, and implies he agreed with it.

If you hadn't seen the video, watch it. Media has taken this out of context and making more out of it than it is.

Professionally and personally, Saints should not have signed him.

AP is right. SP told him he wanted to run the ball to take pressure off of Brees. This is why AP signed.

Agreed. I think we all know that this is not the high flying big play offense from 2011 and earlier. Our oline isn't as good, we don't take as many big play shots, and for some reason payton loves running useless bubble screens for no yards.

If we don't plan to return to the days of quick strike aggressive play calls that put fear in defensive coordinators hearts we need to accept it and commit to running the ball. When you watch payton call plays it's like he wants to commit to the run but the first time there is a hiccup with the run game he just completely abandons it.

To be honest, I would love to see our team go no huddle and mix the pass with the run. Brees is smart enough to have sustained success doing this instead of waiting on Payton to perform a dozen substitutions before running a play for zero yards.

This is just as much on AP as it is SP. I distinctly remember him saying he had options, and before season started Saints seemed like a good fit BECAUSE of the offensive depth. Now, one game in, all of that seems to be forgotten. Settle down, take a deep breath and see how this plays out. One injury to one of our RBs happens, and we are all singing a different tune.
