AP has every right to be angry. Payton is a stubborn jackass and that is partially why the Saints have gone 7-9 these past three years. Kamara is a rookie and doesn't need to have that many snaps. It should be the Peterson/Ingram show. Kamara will have his time later.

IMO I don't think AP understands it or agrees with it, as much as he is taking the high road. Credit to him.

You can argue that Kamara is more versatile and that's why he was in the game so much late, but the fact is Kamara is not going to break tackles like AP can. One or two broken tackles can generate major yardage and instant offense. Payton is selling AP short.

I disagree. First, if you read his entire quote, he doesn't sound angry. It sounds like he understood the situation in the game didn't fit a "ground and pound" approach. They were averaging 2.8 yards per carry so the running game wasn't working.

Secondly, he's got no right to be angry anyway. He signed on a team that already had a thousand yard rusher so he knew coming in he wouldn't be a bell cow back anyway. Peterson's own reputation keeps him off the field in obvious passing situations. He's not known as a pass catcher and his ability to pick up the blitz has always been criticized.

And whether Kamara is a rookie or not is of no relevance. A pass catching scat back is a great asset in a hurry up offense. Either check downs in the flats or draw plays they're great to have when the defensive line is dominating your offensive line.

Trade him and Ingram for some offensive linemen.
Use Kamara & Travaris Cadet for our 8 runs per game.

I personally dont care if we pass the whole game.
We cannot run.
We shouldnt pretend we can.
We shouldnt waste downs on getting stuffed, just so we can say we tried to run.
Just pass the damn ball, and dont worry what everyone says, Payton. You're out the door anyway, if you dont take us deep into the playoffs.
