Re: Ok..On to The Pathers
I saw in the Patriots game Rankins holding his wrist late in the game...I'm guess it's not serious?

They're already talking an extension with Drew... 4 years - 100 Million; if I remember correctly...

Re: Ok..On to The Panthers
3rd and 9 from the 18 with 20 seconds left in the 2nd quarter. No timeouts. Brady dropped back, scrambled and rushed for 8 yards coming up short of the first down with about 15 seconds left and the clock ticking. Brady immediately got up and started signaling for the field goal team who was ready. The field goal unit quickly but smoothly lined up, the center snapped the ball with a couple of seconds on the clock and Gostkowski made a 28-yard field goal as time expired. Business as usual.
If you're like me, you watched this happen and thought two things as Brady ran off the field and the clock ticked down: #1. They are absolutely going to get this off in time and make this. #2. Most teams would not. Not because their kicker isn't good or their quarterback can't scramble. Becuase they're not prepared. This isn't an issue of talent. This is an issue of desire. The desire to be ready for what can happen. To have thought about it. To acknowledge the situation. And to execute when you know it's time. It's the edge that wins. Granted, when both sides are equally prepared, the more talented side wins. But in a great many cases, I've found the other side doesn't prepare. They don't put the work in to win. The great news is anyone can prepare. I don't have to be able to throw a football like Tom Brady to prepare. And neither do you. Joe Bryant Football guys.com |

Looks like Carolina will have a backup center for this game. |
Re: Ok..On to The Panthers
I wonder if our second best player (Lattimore) on defense even plays Sunday? Per NOLA, he missed practice on Wednesday AND Thursday.
Bump ... http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf...rt_river_index Lattimore and Moore ruled OUT on Sunday vs the Panthers. |
Re: Ok..On to The Panthers
Firing up Benjamin without a doubt this week lol.

Re: Ok..On to The Panthers
Marshon Lattimore and Sterling Moore are OUT.

I'm not even going to bother watching. Why subject myself to that?!

Myself, I'm going to be decked out like usual in my Saints gear with all of my luckiest decorations in place and watching just like I have for every game since Sunday Ticket first became available. Before then I was forced to catch all of the un-televised games on radio. I watch because I love my Saints, win or lose, and I want to enjoy every play. |
Re: Ok..On to The Panthers
It's not being shown in my area...Thank God!

Re: Ok..On to The Panthers

I will be watching. I like to torture myself

Re: Ok..On to The Panthers
I will always make an effort to watch the games. Even if it means wearing the paper sack again.

I watch games in spite of my disappointment, but if something comes up and I can't watch the games, I don't sweat it near as much anymore. I don't see the Saints pushing their lives to the side to support me or anyone I know. Yeah I know, that sounded really depressing. I don't think of it as depressing. It's just reality, to me. Gotta keep it in some kind of perspective, or I'll go insane watching them lose. |

0-15?
Will I watch game 16? I am in the car driving 20 miles to the pub I know will have the game. Dressed in my saints gear and cheering the saints to get off the snide and make an omelet out of that goose egg |

Okay, this could be an opportunity for the Saints; bigger than Saints Killer Olsen being out...

I'm not talking about quitting as a fan (though I will stop watching them if they join in on this protesting crap). But there are times when games get in the way of other things, and you have to push things to the side to watch the game. I feel less and less inclined to do that. I want the Saints to win badly, but whether they win or lose, they don't help me with anything. The season ends, and it's like it never happened, until the next season comes along. Also losing feels a lot worse than winning feels good, in my experience. Though I subject myself to it anyway, I'm not afraid to walk away if I can see it's just making me too aggravated. It has nothing to do with not caring about the team, and everything to do with self-restraint. Some of us are a lot more competitive, and we don't find joy in watching a team lose, and so our tempers flare up. |
