ILB in 2016 to OLB is a good fit for him. Lets see how does. Athletically he has a good given gift. His coverage skills are pretty good. What I am watching to see if he can take on blockers and shed them better. |

Re: 2018 NFL Draft Prospects - Saints
After the show Falk put on last night he is back on my list as a solid 1 in the middle of the round. gotta do some digging on these so called head hits. He stands tall in the pocket no matter the pressure. Getting his bell rung is what I am hoping they are talking about. That is not that big of an issue in my book. Full blown not knowing were you at and asking for momma is another issue all together. Then it is how long did it take for the head to clear and how many.
Love the way he goes through his progressions. This sets him a part from all the other top QB in the draft, he is so far ahead of everyone else. The kid does not get rattled. Imagine if he had top talent recruited around him. A lot of drops over the years by WR. Falk still needs coaching. A couple of years behind Drew and SP in his ear is just what this kid needs. Match made in heaven? On the other hand Sam Darnold, it's all about upside and he still has questions he needs to answer. He is a great example of what I was saying about the OSU DE. The athleticism and skill set is all there. It is more about great flashes of what might be. Hype is all about the "IF". Donald is young and this year he is off to a so so start. Can he handle it and bounce back? Right now I am saying stay in school. Just like I said last year with OSU DEs despite the 3rd round grades they were getting from the media scouts. Right now I see them as 1/2 type of players with the great OSU media hype machine backing them up the chart. Bradley Chubb is still my #1 complete DE. Run or Pass, Inside or Outside makes no difference, he does it all at a high level from any where on the field. He may not be a sack specialist at the next level. But he will be a player that keeps LB clean and open up lanes for blitzes. Like Cam he out mans his way to the QB. SDE? hard to find faults in his game. Slide him inside and bring on the speed rusher on passing downs is a great skill set the saints are lacking. "IF" the OSU DEs get it going and the light comes on, they will be good if not great. Lets see what happens now that they are getting into the meat of the schedule. The higher we draft in round 1 the more an "IF" drives me nuts. "IF" Latt can stay healthy was the #1 reason I would have not picked him and the reason i think he dropped to us. Howard had NO "IFs" IMO. Shame a talent like Howard is trapped in Tampa. The pairing of Drew and Howard had the makings of some thing special. oh well. Latt is the man. "Ifs" need not apply in the top 15 unless the talent is not there. That is my psychotic way of looking at the top of round 1 in the draft. |

But "what have you done for me lately?" Is it the "right 53" or the "win now mentality" could signal a "rebuilding phase." Playing with "house money" thinking "run the table" could end up with "too many cooks in the kitchen." "Gotta make hay while the sun shines" or "get out the kitchen."
