I\'m not saying you cant boo or anything like that, im saying why do you boo before a game even starts? (you think that pumps your QB up or something). I just dont see how you all think that AB is so bad. And the same one\'s that boo AB would prob be cheering JD even when he throws 15+ ints a year. ( i know everyone will be saying \"no i would\'nt\")

actually I wouldn\'t-most of the people that would do that have something personally against AB-I really would like brooks to turn that corner- i think he has marvelous athletic ability..I just think he needs to be held accountable for his decision making so he can learn and grow into a decent quarterback. I just don\'t think he\'s going to do that...nor do I think Jake is the answer...I think we will always have subpar performances out of our players untill they start being held accountable.

I think though the flip side is that most that root for brooks do so not because they think he is better than jake or peyton or anyone else, but for reasons that are all their own...and no amount of logic will pull them out of that fog.

I think that this is a good summary of how I also feel and maybe I am biased because of that but feel it is a very accurate portrayal of the situation

Thanks B, but i think he\'s capable of being a pro bowl QB. (and about due too). He\'s very durable and his td to int ratio is killer. Hey, i\'m not saying he dont make some bad decisions but not any worse then any other QB in the nfl. And i think he\'s one of the most underrated QB\'s in the nfl. (and again i know thats because we dont win, but that\'s not all AB\'s fault is it)

Let me just say that he has the potential of being a pro bowler -- before he becomes one though he is going to have to show a certain amount of consistency. His talent level is there but I question his heart. And I don\'t think AB is an underrated QB. From his current level of consistency he is right where he should be -- most don\'t rate QBs on their potential but on their performance.

i like this debate about supporting a team. it makes me think some people have never been around rabid fans. fans that eat, breathe, and live what their teams do. smiling and cheering rah-rah no matter what a team does is shallow. whodi mentioned rivera. i have been to yankee stadium and love it. you\'ll be run out of the right field bleachers if you are willing to chant to your beisbol deities. likewise, if a player screws up and cost a game, not make an usual sort of mistake, he will be howled at. there is intense passion to above all else win. that extends beyond derek jeter and rivera too.

passionate fans do not accept mediocrity, take front office bs lines, or accept leaps of faith beyond reason. my short term personal approach to the saints has changed the last few years. potential, potential, potential... yes! but the results have not registered yet. worse, i do not see the potential and trend going the right way. i do not care about wins/losses short term if the product on the field is right, solid, and improving. build it and they will come. i\'d love to see them go 12-4 and make a superbowl run and have to adjust my thinking. 4-12 would not bother me either cuz i would expect some significant housecleaning then, a fresh start. another 8-8 or 9-7 and just eek into the playoffs would be the worst thing for this team imo. another year of more of the same and enough to keep it continuing into the future again. i can laugh at the aints. i can go nuts for a contender. i cannot accept mediocrity, you can have it.

I think that is what many of us think and feel.

He is a little inconsistant and thats my only knock on him. Every thing else is killer so i dont see how anybody thinks im saying cheer for subpar players. Like i said before he\'s very durable, td to int is killer, 3500+yds every year, his arm is killer, throws laser passes all over the field + killer deep balls. If you give him some time he will pick most any Defense apart. So again i dont see AB as a subpar QB, I see him as elite QB getting ready to explode.

Not probably -- they already are.

Nit-picking language and mincing words? Thought you were better than that.
Nit-Picking? Hardly. Mincing words? Which word(s) am I mincing? I\'m pointing out that you readily give Jake, Carolina, or any other team the benefit of the doubt...consistantly, but when it comes to Brooks and the Saints (other than Horn and Deuce) you categorically NEVER do. Hey Whodat, the Saints NEARLY made the playoffs last year, and they had to win their last 4 games to do it...does that count? LMAO
