What we learned from the Saints' close win vs. Chicago

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; How about Drew and that potential TD saving tackle!! Good technique, wrapped up and drug the bigger man down. He could give Crawley and Williams a tackling clinic....

That is my point. Rankins needs help. But even then opening a hole in the middle of the saints defense is way to easy. Way to often I see an OL at the second level sealing off the lane.

A run stopping, sand in the pants DT will help the entire front 7

I am glad you guys are calling out Crawley. I thought it was just me that was frustrated with his 'business decision' tackling.

Overall the defense is playing great. Holding teams to scores less than 17 points after the 1st two games and to be able to depend heavily on the defense the last two games for the W when the offense crumbled. Ingram fumbling most likely would've been the probability of the Saints losing without the improvements. This defense is getting better, they're young and hungry. I am guilty on speaking how Manti Teo missed his assignment & Crawley not tackling, I should be praising the overall performance. They got the job done and got the 'W'.

Yeah, it's like coming home from a weekend with Jennifer Aniston and complaining about her cooking.

Overall, this defense is playing like one of the best in the league. Maybe the little things are standing out now because they're doing most everything else right.

I can live with the "whiffs" ... Ken has been good in pass coverage.
