this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I think we can all agree we need a leader not a stat-star. most people think that stats are the defining definition of a football player when they only tell you half the story-or when you only use incomplete stats. ...

I\'ll take brady--but the question you gotta ask-is he a good qb in that scheme-whereas peyton will be a good QB no matter where he goes....

As good as Peyton is ... I would not take him.
First ... he costs too damn much. Second ... Peyton hasn\'t proven he can get it done. Now, Peyton might go on to be the best \"clutch\" QB in the history of the NFL. But ... Man, he\'s had some God Awful games in the playoffs and he has been more responsible for his team losing than any other single player on that Colts\' team. I\'d take Brady over Petyon. When the Pats\' offense needs to score 30-points to win ... they score 31-points. When Peyton and co. need to score 30-points to win ... they score 10-points. |

gumbo i understand your argument but i dont agree. this is and always will be a team game. quite honestly THIS PAST SEASON the loss wasnt his fault. they were completely dominated all over the field. at every position. i would have to say that what did surprise me about that game was the way indy\'s d played.
but i agree i would take brady also. for some reason the new joe montana just gets it done. i believe he has earned the right to be compared to joe. because that is who he reminds me of |

Peyton Manning and Julius Peppers
Both are incredibly skilled and young enough to make an impact for many years. Manning is, in my opinion, the best thing going at QB, and his dedication to learning the nuances of the game only add to his raw talents. Peppers is a disruptive force with true playmaking ability, and his speed gives him tremendous versatility. |
