Re: Should Payton bow out and concede the division title?

Frustrated I see. Let's take a look around the NFC:

1. Philly. Shut out. I guess they don't deserve to be there either.
3. Rams lost by 21.
5. Kitties had a chance to win the division. I guess they are piss poor too.

My first question is "Did anyone get hurt and won't be able to play next week?" If the answer is no, then today was successful.

Bad teams do not win 11,12,13,14 games in a season. They may have a bad game. But it's doubtful it's a bad team.

Let get ready for next week. If things go well, we'll get another shot of getting to the NFC championship game by beating Philly.

SFIAH

Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO

Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good.

Did we finish 7-9 again ?? Saints started 0-2 and left for dead however this team reeled off 11 wins on the season ... 11. IMO we won the hardest division in the NFL.

The sun will shine on Monday.

Re: Should Payton bow out and concede the division title?

Just like people that said after two weeks the season was not over, this one game also does not constitute the season. We won 11 games this year and lost 5. We have the same record as the Panties and we beat them twice. That means over the course of 16 games we earned the division title.

I guess we should have bowed out in 09 when we lost our last 3 games of the regular season..

We were almost 7-9 again! Just 4 more losses and we would be sitting there yet again. Lattimore got beat and has showed he gets winded and isn’t in shape enough to cover elite corners. Kamara looked like a rookie. 4th and 10 on their own five and convert eventually leading to score.
We are the worst 11-5 team out there, except maybe for The Panthers or Rams who may be worse. We are better than Minnesota and the Eagles but they each have 13 not 11. so it don’t count.

They made some mistakes, I'd rather them know they've got stuff to work on rather than going into the playoffs overconfident.

No one gave us a chance in 09 after losing 3 straight to end the season.

Try to remember that most of our 11 win roster, are guys under 23 years old and will only get better.

I'd love to win a super bowl obviously, but getting to the playoffs alone wipes that horrible 7-9 taste away and tells me this team is building for a solid future.
