Re: Manziel
Hey, the guys is trying to get his **** together. How many times have we talked about people/players who could have done this and could have done that and wasted their gifts etc. The fact that he is getting his **** together, or so it seems, should be applauded no matter if he is ever that good at football or not. People F up and make mistakes if he is really making a sincere effort then I think we should all be rooting for that.

Re: Manziel
People said the same thing about a guy the Falcons cut a few years back. He wound up with the Packers and did pretty good.

Re: Manziel
Prediction: He will end up in the NFL again and will do very well. I really do think he could be our future QB. Is it likely to happen? No. I've watched Manziel play for the entirety of his college career though and when he wants something, he is a fierce competitor. TBH this whole narrative that has been cooked up around him with him getting himself better. I think it makes him a better player because he wants to prove people wrong.

Re: Manziel
He's not a very good Pro QB. Definitely not even in the class of Doug Flutie (made his way back to the NFL w/elite Canadian play).
It will take a ton to convince a NFL team/owner on gambling with his troubled past again at the elite level. |

And this is all contingent on him staying clean and out of clubs. The lasting memory of his NFL career will be him walking across the stage rubbing his fingers together doing the money sign |

The number of success stories in this category is very small and I don't see Manziel anywhere close to being exceptional. Good luck to him though....his presence will definitely help the CFL get exposure south of the border.
