Manziel
I think the guy has his head on straight this time around. Of course there is still doubt about that, but I think he could be our QB of the future. I know 90% of people will think I'm crazy, but I think we should give him a look. It's the perfect situation really. Brees is probably the best leader in the NFL, and would be perfect for Manziel to learn under. Also, they are both short QBs .

Re: Manziel
Hard to believe he’s still only 25. Kudos to the young man for addressing the demons. Sean Payton did seem to take some interest in him when they got together for breakfast a little while ago. New Orleans loves a good redemption story too.

Re: Manziel
I don't ever see Manziel succeeding in the NFL.
One, even though it appears he has his head screwed on straight now, he is one binge away from reverting to the old Johnny Football. Can't see the Saint's putting money or the team's future on him staying straight. Two, he really isn't an "NFL QB". He succeeded at A&M as long as he was able to get outside the pocket and buy time for receivers to get open. Teams that were able to keep him in the pocket (LSU) typically shut him down. QB that have to get outside the pocket to succeed have very short NFL carriers. Russel Wilson is the exception. |

Re: Manziel
No way. Foles or Cousins. Although we can’t afford a contract for Brees and also the kind of money those guys are gonna ask for.
Still there was a guy who was a lot like Manziel who played for the Falcons until they kicked him to the curb for similar problems. What was his name? |
