Too rich. Plenty of talent available to be a slot/#2 like Moncreif, Gabriel (if he doesn’t go to SF) l, the guy from Seattle. We also have Fuller.

And that’s before we draft a stud TE

Maybe they would take TA and our rd 1. Free up the cap to cover his contract and get rid of a often inured tackle. Wishful thinking of course.

Re: Saints Could Trade For Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry

Jarvis is good and could run some of those old Snead routes, but not worth that money. Only way I could see this happening was if we were unloading a contract/player on them that no longer starts, to counteract some of the cost. But not sure if there is anyone on the team that fits that idea.

As for the need to have a TE. Its a definite need. However, if we had Jarvis to run under routes, Thomas for mid-deep, and Kamara coming out of backfield, we could just keep blocking TE's. Not saying that's the right move, but it could be something.

Do they need a tight end? I would love to unload Fleener for him.

Send them Willie Snead, but I wouldn't give up any draft picks...

Actually, I'd call their bluff on this franchise tag BS and wait and sign him late in Free Agency...

Re: Saints Could Trade For Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry

I, for one, would love it. Having Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry on the same offense would be ridiculous. Having those two AND Ingram and Kamara is just not fair to the rest of the league. I feel it would eliminate the perceived need for a pass catching TE. Dump Fleener and let the guys we have now keep doing what they do best, helping to open holes for our two pro bowl RB's.

I'd prefer it if we didn't have to give up a first, but I wouldn't hate it either. He's young and just entering his prime and would likely have way more impact than a rookie taken in the late first.

Can't.
We're on the hook for 17 million regardless of where TA plays next year

Put yourself in the shoes of Michael Thomas or Marshon Lattimore. How would you view the team over-paying for another player at your position?

I think we sign mid-level vets and draft well in 2018. The only position I could justify a big contract is middle linebacker.

Re: Saints Could Trade For Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry

I’ve seen a few reporters saying that the Saints could be one of the teams interested in trading for Landry, but their great insight basically amounts to it being because he’s from Louisiana lol.
