this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Has he stayed hurt or something? I thought he just missed most of last year with a broke leg. A broke leg could happen to anyone, its not like he has a injury that keeps getting injured....

An oft-injured has-been. Unless he signs for league minimum, let him go. It amazes me that a team with a former linebacker as a head coach continues to find it impossible to find/recognize quality linebackers.

2002 he missed 8 games, 2003 he missed 2, last year he missed 9. That\'s 19 out of 48 games. Pretty high number for a guy who is 35 in July. I don\'t doubt he is a good player, cause he is, but withthat many injuries and the age..............

Sounds like the Saints are really reaching for LB\'s to me.
Theory: that could be an indicator.... Corey Simon. I don\'t think they\'d be reaching so much if they had LB/Howard trade in mind. |

I think the addition of Brown would be good, he may be a reach, but i kno hes better than what we got now. He can only help us right???? Now for the Simon thing, I dont see this happening, but then again, after the season started, i didnt see the McKenzie deal happening either. So, I think all the Simon talk needs to die until he signs and we see him in Black and Gold. Its not good to toy with a man\'s emotions!

NOPE... pass. I wouldn\'t bring him in at all. If he was younger I\'d bring him in for physical and work out before I would entertain thoughts of signing him. OLD, INJURIES, need I say more. I don\'t know if his leadership/expertise holds water in my opinion but... whatever. You\'re going to have to count on what we have finally stepping up and being the player that they should be.
Simon thing was a hoax plain and simpe. |

I don\'t recall our giving a younger and healthier Seau a look, so why Brown? I say we wait until the June cuts

I know that Green bay has just backed out of the race to get Brown...Apparently there is a small bidding war going on..and I really don\'t think we need him anyhow...We have young guns and it\'s time to rely on our own guys...
