Anyway we cab send this clip to Haz and Co. Then they can see what a real defense is supposed to look like.

Damn. Nice find Snide!
Who wouldn\'t give a kidney to have just one of those Linebackers now!? My boy Vaughn Johnson sure was a beast! Not to mention Sammy, Rickey, and Pat. Damn. Our Safeties weren\'t too bad either! Brett Maxie and Gene Atkins had their share in the highlights. Too bad we didn\'t get to see more of Wilks, Warren, and Martin! Who was wearing 99 back then? My memory sure isn\'t what it once was. |

makes me fantasize of my thought of the show Extreme Team Makeover. I find a tough defensive team with a weak offense (ala Ravens) much more palatable than hoping for the big hitting offense to carry ya past the D-deficiencies. like back then, the talent on offense wasn\'t sparkling, carl smith was mr. ho-hum, but damn, it seemed like you were in most games even in the so-so years cuz of the tenacious d.
i looked up 3 .500-ish seasons from that era to see if there was substance to my perception. 1989 9-7, 1990 8-8, and 1993 8-8. points for/against and offense/defense rankings 89- 386/301 11/15 90- 274/275 25/15 93- 317/343 20/11 seems so |
