This happened months ago, and he made it known very publicly that he wanted to play for them. Still walked away without a contract.

I wouldn't go quite that far. Remember Cam is playing in the slot (Snead) role.

He's the 3rd option. Mike Thomas & Tre are still getting open down field. Until I see a defense completely take away Michael, you probably won't hear Cam's name called as much as we would like.

Remember he has 9 catches on 10 targets.

Sean P still has a plan for him I do believe.

Let me clarify then. He'd be coming here to play a much smaller role than the term "superstar" implies. We have superstars, they play big roles. He'd be a #3 at best coming in at midseason with a diminished skill set and trying to learn a complicated offense. Feel me?

Unless we had more significant injury concerns with WR's I would have no interest in seeing him in black and gold. I'd rather roll with Meredith, Smith and Carr than ever see Bryant wear our colors. Marshall too. These guys are washed up with history of attitude problems. I sincerely hope the team passes on these options. I'd bring Brandon Coleman back before I'd consider these guys.

The Pats didn't do it. He, very publicly announced his desire to play for them and they declined.

He's worked out for multiple teams, many of whom are more desperate for receiving help than the Saints are and nobody signed him.

He was under contract with the Cowboys and they didn't want him.

The media is already going into high gear just for tryout. Imagine if he actually makes the team.

If he gets open and Drew doesn't see him, will he scream at Drew on the sidelines during the game?

If the Saints lose two in a row, will Dez whine to reporters it's because they aren't throwing the ball to him enough?

Will Dez get into locker room fights with Saints players?

There've been several posts on here saying Dez will have to accept being a role player, well, what if he doesn't? If the Saints were 4-4 and needed an offensive spark to make a push for the playoffs, then a change might be good but they're 7-1 with an inside track to home field advantage. They seem to have great chemistry.

Just my opinion but the risk far outweighs the reward.

If that happened it would only happen once. Once.

I don't know we have to kick tires but I wasn't that impress with the WR's outside of Thomas. They couldn't get open... We need someone else to come in and shake things up other than someone with the initials M.T.

I’d add Tre’Quan Smith in with Thomas as a reliable option, after that though there is a significant drop off

Luckily once again we are all FANS and NOT FO or coaches. Negative pessimistic thinkers are infectious just ask Jarvis Landry
