Who will be starter at year's end?
We have had discusions on who our opening day starter will be, but who will hold their spots till the end of the year. In the unlikely event of no injuries, who will our starters be in our last game:
WR2- Stallworth or Henderson WR3- Henderson or someone else LT- Gandy or Stinchcomb LG- Holland or Jacox RT- Brown or Stichcomb DT1- anyone DT2- anyone DE- Howard (if traded) or Smith SLB- anyone MLB- anyone WLB- anyone CB2- Brown, Craft, Ambrose, Thomas, Smith FS- Smith or Bullocks SS- Bellamy, Bullocks, or Mitchell I think Stallworth Henderson Stichcomb Holland Brown ? ? Howard Watson Fincher ? Smith Bullocks Mitchell DT's and LB are tough As I was making this, I realized that abouth half of our team will be involved in position battles. This could be a very interesting preseason. |

Its hard to get excited about ANY rookie safety not named SeanTaylor. He's an excellent cover safety. Probably not a difference maker this year, but when is a safety truly a difference maker? Seldom. Reports say he's absolutely blazing fast out there. Or maybe our WR's have slowed down a lot. My bet is he's fast. Bullocks looks like a good pick to me. Better than our last two 2nd rounders. If Dwight Smith gets hurt I'd much rather have the No. 2 rated rookie safety than Steve Gleason, Monty Montgomery, or Mel Mitchell out of position. I understand this pick. He could probably even replace Bellamy this year also. The only 2005 rookies I'm really excited about are Fincher and A-mac, and both probably won't play much this year. |
