I'd love to see Teddy become the heir to the throne. I think he's a perfect fit for Payton's offense and he's one of the good guys.
But the only way that that happens is if Drew retires, or says that he will retire after the 2019 season and we give Teddy a large backloaded contract so his cap doesn't kill us next year. If we win it all, I wonder if Drew decides to retire. I'd love to keep Teddy, but Drew doesn't look like he could play 2 or 3 more years easily. |
